Kunihiko was studying guitar building under his father Kazuo from the early 1980s. They work together in their workshop in Kani, north west of Nagoya City.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKazuo started as an independent luthier in mid 1960s when he was just 27. In those years he was mostly associated with Fernandes Co, where he was responsible for design and production of classical guitar lineup from 1969 until 1990. During that time, he was making a limited number of guitars under his own label. His top model was No. 300 for 300,000 yen, which was the equivalent to the price of a Kohno No. 30 of the era (his highest model also). Presently, both Kazuo and Kunihiko continue to operate their workshop, where they meticulously craft classical guitars of the highest quality. They maintain a commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship in each instrument they create.
