Hiroshi Komori, a highly regarded luthier, acquired his guitar-making skills during the 1960s and early 1970s while working in the workshop of Masaru Kohno, one of Japan's notable luthiers. In 1973, Komori established his own shop and dedicated himself to crafting exceptionally high-quality handmade guitars until his retirement in 2007. This guitar is a testament to Komori's craftsmanship as a luthier, distinguishing it from factory-made instruments and placing it in the realm of concert-level quality.
This instrument has impressive power and responsiveness, delivering deep and rich bass notes as well as sweet and clear trebles. The trebles themselves have their own pleasant overtones. When playing chords, a multitude of beautiful harmonics resonate, emphasized by the reverberations of the body. When playing individual notes, their clarity and separation are truly amazing. The sustain is long and beautiful. Bottom line is, It's nearly impossible to stay unimpressed by the tone of this instrument .
