Jose Antonio 12C Handmade Classical Guitar Solid Cedar, IRW Spain 2000s
Jose Antonio 12C Handmade Classical Guitar Solid Cedar, IRW Spain 2000s
A beautiful Jose Antonio 12C built by hand in Spain in the mid 2000s.
Jose Antonio was the main luthier in the house of Contreras guitars for 30 years until Pablo Contreras passed away. After that Jose took charge of the company as the one and only luthier. In 2015 he decided to build the guitars under his own label.
This particular guitar was ordered by Aria Ltd for Japanese market.
It shows excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The sound is rich and resonant with lots of pleasant nuances.
Condition
The guitar is in excellent condition despite its age of at least 25 years. There are a few minor blemishes such as small dings and scratches that can only be seen up close. There is small cloudy spot at the back of the neck at the heel (seen on photo #9). This is a common issue with aged poly finish. The bright white spots that you might see on some pictures are just reflections.
