Jose Ramirez 2E Classical Guitar Handmade in Spain 2006, Solid Cedar, IRW
A beautifully sounding and playing Jose Ramirez 2E handmade in Spain in 2006
For over half a century, the name of Jose Ramirez is perhaps the most recognized to classical and flamenco guitar aficionados. Ramirez instruments have been performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.
Built to the highest standards of Spanish construction, the guitars in the Estudio line are an affordable alternative to the Artisan guitars line. Without the cypress lined back and sides, these guitars are an adaptation of the traditional Ramirez designs.
They are known to be lightweight and quick to respond. This particular guitar sounds beautiful and is one of our favorites. It's can make most high-end guitars shy.
Designed with a unique template, decorations, tone, quality of sound and materials that are synonymous with the Ramirez brand. The 2E features a solid red cedar top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and an ebony fingerboard.
The "E" line was designed by Jose Ramirez III in 1986.
Condition
The guitar is in excellent, near mint condition. There are very few light imperfections, noticeable only when looking very closely. The faint cloudy spots on the back are not from damage. It's the finish itself, which remains smooth and clean. In regular lighting, these features are less pronounced than they appear in the pictures taken with a powerful flash. This is a common issue with poly finish for some reason. The finish is stable now and this process is not expected to continue. Whatever white spots you see on the pictures are just reflections. There is no visible fret wear. Very comfortable and easy to play. Set up for medium low action, great for flamenco and fast passages.
We keep our guitars in a room with 50% relative humidity.
