Jose Ramirez Limited Edition 125 Años Classical Guitar Spain
For over half a century, the name of Jose Ramirez is perhaps the most recognized to classical and flamenco guitar aficionados. Ramirez instruments have been performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.
Built to the highest standards of Spanish construction, the guitars in the Estudio line are an affordable alternative to the Artisan guitars line. Without the cypress lined back and sides, these guitars are an adaptation of the traditional Ramirez designs.
They are known to be lightweight and quick to respond. This particular guitar sounds beautiful and is one of our favorites. It's can make most high-end guitars shy.
The Jose Ramirez 125 Años Classical Guitar is an exquisite limited edition that celebrates this venerable classical guitar maker's 125th anniversary.
The anniversary guitar features a beautiful, solid Western red cedar top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, cedar neck with Spanish heel, ebony fretboard, and an Indian rosewood bridge. It also has a fan bracing, glossy lacquer finish, and gold-plated tuners with ivoroid buttons. Its features also include a rose inlay in the rosette and on top of the bridge. 650mm scale, and a 52mm nut. Its authentic Spanish tones with a strong bass response come from a legendary maker. These beautiful guitars were handmade in Spain, and each of these individually serialized.
Condition
The guitar is in very good condition. There are a few imperfections, noticeable when looking closely. There is one ding on the side that you can see on the picture. It's not though the wood as you can see from the pictures of the inside. There is quite a bit of cloudiness on the sides, back and the bridge. It's a quite common issue with polyurethane finish. Typically happens in the first few weeks after production so it's highly unlikely to aggravate. The finish itself is smooth and glossy. The bright white strips that you might see on some pictures are just reflections.
The neck has a barely noticeable forward bow. There is no visible fretwear. Very comfortable and easy to play. Set up for medium low action.
We keep our guitars in a room with 50% relative humidity.
