Juan Hernandez Estudio Flamenca Blanca 2007 Handmade Flamenco Guitar Solid Spruce and Cypress
Very beautiful work by Juan Hernandez family workshop, an Estudio Flamenca Blanca from 2007 with tight grain solid spruce top, solid cypress back and sides.
Juan Hernandez delivers incredible quality for the money.
All of Hernandez models are built with solid wood.
The Estudio series from Spanish guitar maker Juan Hernandez offers an affordable version of his renowned concert guitars. This instrument delivers a powerful, well-defined sound, thanks to its fully solid 4/4 construction, which features a resonant spruce top and a finely-grained cypress body. The water-thin finish allows for better responsiveness, with a particularly clear midrange and rich low end.
The flat cedar neck with an ebony fingerboard provides plenty of space for players to comfortably master even complex pieces. The guitar's 650 mm scale length and 50 mm nut width make playing easier. The guitar is set up very well and intonates nicely across the entire range, thanks to the excellent craftsmanship of the nut and saddle. Finally, the high-gloss finish beautifully showcases the grain of the woods used.
Condition
The guitar remains in excellent condition. There are a few superficial dings and scratches but nothing major. The bright white spots that you might see on some of the photos are just reflections. There is some cloudiness on the bridge, some on the back and neck joint. It's a quite common issue with polyurethane finish. Typically happens in the first few weeks after production so it's highly unlikely to aggravate after 18+ years.
We keep our guitars in a room with 45% relative humidity.
