Yamaha GC-5S Concert Classical Guitar 1976 Solid Cedar Signed by S. Harada
Yamaha GC-5S Concert Classical Guitar 1976
Built and signed by Shuhiro Harada - one of the most talented Yamaha Custom Shop luthiers in the 70s.
The condition of this guitar is unbelievable considering it's almost 50 years old.
It's in showroom condition with just a few minor signs of use.
The guitar has been kept in a room with humidity set to 50% at 25 degrees (75F).
The action is medium to low, comfortable to play.
It has a rich, well balanced and resonant tone with beautiful tonal features. Good volume and sustain.
Condition
Despite the age the guitar remains in excellent condition. There are a few light dings on the top that are only seen if you are really looking. A few superficial scratches, nothing deep thought the finish. At the neck joint there is a line of finish at the very corner that looks a bit cloudy. We have seen this a few times before on Yamaha's.
