Yukihiro Watanabe No. 15 Handmade Concert Classical Guitar Japan 1975 Solid Spruce, Solid BRW
Yukihiro Watanabe No. 15 Handmade Concert Classical Guitar Japan 1975 Solid Spruce, Solid BRW
An incredible find. A beautiful, very rare guitar by somewhat less known luthier Yukihiro Watanabe from 1975. It looks like he did not build a lot of guitars and there's very little info online. This particular guitar shows very high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The guitar in finished with lacquer, including on the inside like most high-end concert class instruments. The back and sides are solid Brazilian Rosewood with remarkable grain pattern.
The tone of the guitar is rich and beautiful. Very well balanced tonally with good projection. It's a concert class instrument.
Condition
Despite its age of over 45 years, this guitar remains in excellent condition. There are a few superficial marks of use on the body and neck but nothing major. Please refer to the pictures. The bright white spots that you might see on some of the pictures are just reflections.
The guitar has been kept in a room with humidity set to 50% at 25 degrees (75F).
The action is medium to low, comfortable to play.
